How to install solar lights?
Solar Street Lights Installation Procedure
Solar Street Lights are coming with wall and pole mountable brackets. In order to mount it on a wall, use at least 4 x 4mm anchor bolts. For heavier lights light 45W and above use 6 – 8mm anchor bolts.
Installation using poles.
Find out a location where there is enough sunlight. Sunlight should fall on the solar panels through out the day.
First of all, we recommend to use a GI pole. The ideal diameter should be 2 inch. Weld 4inch 6mm iron bars, 4 nos, like a cross, on one end of the pole. Close the other end of the pole with a dummy.
Dig a hole on the ground, with 2ft depth. Insert the pole into the dug hole. Put concrete and pieces of rock intermittently and hammer the concrete with a long thick iron rod. Keep the pole straight.
Wait for 2 to 5 days to cure the concrete. Meanwhile, every day pour some water over the concrete to make the concrete set.
Assemble the panel and the light as instructed in the manual.
With the help of somebody else, lift the unit and fix it on the pole. Leave 8 inches from the top. Fix the panel in such a way that the panel is in the NORTH to SOUTH direction.
